Who you meet at Ambiente

Ambiente brings together retail buyers, department stores, concept stores, hospitality buyers and importers from across Europe and beyond. Many plan their buying calendar for the year around what they see in Frankfurt.

The fair is large and busy, so buyers book meetings in advance and fill the gaps by walking the halls. A stand visit is often short. Your booth link carries the conversation once they move on.

Pre-fair checklist for Ambiente

Work through this list in the weeks before you travel.

  • Load your full range three weeks before the fair and check every price, MOQ and lead time
  • Preview your Digital Booth with five products first, then add the rest
  • Print your booth QR code on stand graphics, price cards and visiting cards
  • Email your booth link to the buyers you plan to meet, with your hall and stand number
  • Add EU-relevant details buyers ask for, such as food-contact or material notes
  • Show your new collection first and mark items new for this season
  • Prepare a short collection for buyers who booked meetings in advance
  • Agree who on your team answers enquiries each evening of the fair

At your Ambiente stand

01

Point to the QR code

Buyers scan it and open your full range on their phone, in the browser, with no app to install.

02

Let them send enquiries

Buyers send enquiries while you talk to the next visitor. Each one arrives in your inbox with their email.

03

Note each conversation

The same evening, add a note to each buyer: what they asked, what they need and when they place orders.

What buyers do after Ambiente

Knowing the buyer’s next steps tells you when and how to follow up.

They place pre-season orders

Many retail buyers confirm ranges for the coming seasons in the weeks after Ambiente, so they need your prices and lead times quickly.

They share with their team

A buyer forwards your collection to a category manager or owner. A clean link travels better than a stack of brochures.

They compare delivery windows

European retailers plan around delivery dates. Clear lead times on each item help you make the shortlist.

EXAMPLE DATA

Kestrel Lane Ceramics: after Ambiente

A buyer for a Copenhagen design store asked about seven glazed serving bowls at the stand. Two days after the fair, the sales lead sends her a collection of those seven bowls.

The message shows prices ex-works, an MOQ of 36 per design and a 70-day lead time. It offers a video call to walk through the glazes. The buyer books the call for the following week.

  • Send within three working days, while the buyer still remembers your stand
  • Link to a collection of the products they asked about, not your whole catalog
  • State MOQ, lead time and price basis in the message
  • Offer samples or a video call as the next step

Ambiente exhibitors ask

When should we share the booth link with buyers?
Send it with your meeting invitations three to four weeks before Ambiente. Buyers who browse first arrive knowing the products they want, so the meeting moves to prices and quantities sooner.
Can we show products in several languages?
Your booth and its assistant answer in English, from your product data. Poly9 drafts German, French, Spanish and Arabic copy of each product for your emails and documents. Check material names in those drafts before the fair.
Do buyers need an account to browse?
Buyers can browse without signing in. When they send an enquiry, they leave their details, so you know who asked about what and can follow up after Ambiente.
What does a Digital Booth cost for Ambiente exhibitors?
Exhibitors pay the same regular monthly price as every other company: Booth, Factory or Enterprise, shown in the pricing section above. You can preview your Digital Booth with five products before you pay anything.
What happens to the booth after Ambiente closes?
Your Digital Booth stays live for as long as you subscribe. Buyers who kept your link can return to it when they plan orders, and you keep prices and products current between fairs.
What is an Ambiente exhibitor storefront?
An exhibitor storefront is your gift, tableware and décor line as a live link at yourstudio.poly9.ai. A retailer opens it at your booth, taps glazes, finishes and sizes, reads material and size on each card, and sends an enquiry for the items they want. It keeps working after 2 February, for the shop that reorders in autumn.
How fast can we load two hundred items?
Upload product photos and an Excel sheet with item number, material, size, carton size and MOQ, plus your prices if you have them. Poly9 builds each product page, you review the glazes and finishes, and the fair QR code is printed for your booth before you fly.
Do we need FOB prices for every item?
No. Set prices for the items you are certain of, and every other item shows price on request. Your AI never fills a gap with a guess. Retailers browse glazes and sizes and send enquiries, and your office receives each one with the item numbers attached. Your FOB price goes into the quote.
Can a department store order a whole range?
Yes. The Giving range, or any set of items, becomes one collection you share, with prices and MOQs shown or hidden. The retailer passes it to the buying office, and the enquiry arrives with each item and quantity. Your quote carries the MOQ, FOB port and delivery, and you see when it was opened.
Does the price show in the buyer’s currency?
The booth shows your prices in one website currency, such as euros, at the rate and markup you set. Quotes you send can use each retailer’s own currency, dollars or pounds, with the FOB port and MOQ. One click turns a retailer’s enquiry into that quote.
Which Ambiente exhibitors is this for?
Exporters and makers in Dining, Living and Giving with options: stoneware and porcelain in glazes, brass in finishes, glass in sizes, candles and votives in scents, napkins in colours. If a retailer at your booth asks “does the tray come in nickel at 30 cm?”, an exhibitor storefront answers it. The rugs page carries the detail.
