Poly9 · Fabric mills and textile exporters

Every quality and colourway, priced per metre

Fabric buyers start from your base cloth and change almost everything else. They want their own lab dip, a different width, a stain-resistant finish, a heavier GSM. Your Digital Booth shows the per-metre prices you set and sends each change to your inbox, so a textile exporter can answer before the swatch ships.

What buyers ask

Lab dips and MOQs, answered first

Every enquiry to a fabric mill online catalog comes down to three questions. Each one waits on the costing desk and the dye house.

“What does it cost in our colour?”

A buyer sends a Pantone reference or a physical swatch. Solid dyes, yarn-dyed checks and jacquards each carry a different dyeing cost, and the buyer wants the per-metre price before approving a lab dip.

“What is the MOQ per colour?”

Minimums depend on dye lot size and loom set-up. Buyers want to know if 800 metres per colour works, or if they must take 1,500, and what the surcharge is below the minimum.

“Can you add a finish or certificate?”

Upholstery buyers ask for fire-retardant treatment, stain-resistant coating or OEKO-TEX tested yarn. Each finish adds cost per metre and time to the schedule, and buyers want both answers in one reply.

How it works

From fabric photos to per-metre quotes

You set up your qualities and prices once. After that, the booth answers buyers from your product data and sends you every custom request.

01

Load your qualities

Send phone photos of your bolts and swatch cards or upload your Excel sheet. Poly9 writes each quality with composition, width, GSM, weave and colourways for you to check.

02

Set your prices and options

Enter a price per metre for each quality and colourway. Add the widths and finishes buyers can pick, and one MOQ and lead time per quality.

03

Buyers ask in plain words

A buyer types “this jacquard in our terracotta, 140 cm wide, 1,200 m”. The assistant marks the custom shade price on request and sends it to your inbox.

04

You price it and send

The request lands in your inbox with the full specification and the buyer’s email. You approve the lab dip and send a quote in one click.

Your range, as buyers see it

A textile exporter catalog buyers can filter

Each quality carries the specification a fabric buyer checks before requesting a swatch or a hanger.

  • Composition, weave, GSM and usable width for every quality you produce

  • Your price per metre for each quality and colourway, with finished versions as variants
  • One MOQ and lead time per quality, with each colourway as its own product if needed
  • Finishes you offer, listed in the description: fire-retardant, stain-resistant, water-repellent, soft wash
  • Rub test and colourfastness results you hold, in each quality’s description

Questions from fabric mills and textile exporters

How does Poly9 price a custom shade from a buyer’s swatch?
You price it. The booth shows the per-metre prices you set for your stock shades. A custom shade from a buyer’s swatch shows price on request and comes to your inbox with the swatch details, ready for you to cost and quote.
Our yarn price changes with cotton and polyester markets. Do we edit every quality?
When a material rate changes, Poly9 shows which qualities and open quotes it affects. You then update those per-metre prices, so each quote reflects this month’s yarn cost.
Can wholesalers and converters see different prices?
Share a collection with prices and MOQs shown or hidden, then send each buyer a quote at the terms you agreed. A distributor taking 10,000 metres and a design studio taking 300 each get their own quote.
How do buyers request swatches and lab dips?
They ask the assistant in plain words, for example a lab dip in a Pantone shade. The request goes to your inbox with the quality, shade, quantity and the buyer’s email. You reply from one place with an AI draft.
How does COM fabric pricing work?
Each quality carries the per-yard price and minimum you set, with width and repeat in its description. Ask it: “18 yards of Voyage Blue, what is the price per yard?” The assistant answers from your data. Cut yardage for a specific frame goes to your inbox as price on request, and you quote it.
Does it price from a grade matrix?
Enter each grade as an option with its own price. Grade C then shows the same number to every buyer. A grade you have not priced shows price on request, never a guess. The enquiry lands in your inbox with the buyer’s email for you to quote.
Can buyers see the swatch before the price?
That is the order the page works in. A buyer opens a quality, sees the swatch and its sister colorways, then the price you set. A custom colorway can be shown as a labeled AI render of the same product in another finish, so the buyer approves a picture before you commit a loom.
What about repeat, width, fire rating and rub counts?
They come from your product data as you wrote it: width, vertical repeat, content, abrasion and fire test. Nothing is inferred from a similar cloth. A detail you left out is answered as not on file and the question goes to your inbox, because a guessed flammability rating is worse than none.
Do sizes work for finished textiles?
Yes. Duvets, throws, table linen and runners carry a price for each size you make, and yardage products carry a per-yard price. A buyer asking for a king duvet in sage sees your king price and lead time. Their 200-piece enquiry lands in your inbox, and your quote carries the MOQ and price breaks.
We cost in our own currency and quote FOB in dollars.
Set one website currency, such as dollars, with the exchange rate and markup you choose, and the booth shows your prices in it. Quotes carry the currency, Incoterm and port you pick for each buyer. “200 king duvets, sage, FOB Mundra” becomes a dollar quote from your inbox in one click.
How fast can we quote at Heimtextil or IHGF?
Load the catalog and set your prices before the show opens, then put the fair QR code on your stand. A buyer scans it, sees the prices you set and sends an enquiry before they walk on. The fair page at poly9.ai/fairs/ihgf shows how the booth and collections carry the conversation after the hall closes.
What does a Digital Booth cost?
