Who you meet at Texworld

Texworld attracts fabric buyers from fashion brands, private-label manufacturers and garment makers. They come to find mills that can match a quality, a price and a delivery window.

These buyers ask technical questions: composition, GSM, width, finish, shrinkage and MOQ. A booth that answers the specs from your data saves time at the stand and afterwards.

Pre-fair checklist for Texworld

Work through this list in the weeks before you travel.

  • Load your full range three weeks before the fair and check every price, MOQ and lead time
  • Preview your Digital Booth with five products first, then add the rest
  • Print your booth QR code on stand graphics, price cards and visiting cards
  • Email your booth link to the buyers you plan to meet, with your hall and stand number
  • Give every quality its composition, GSM, width and finish
  • Set one MOQ per quality, and list colours that need their own MOQ as separate products
  • Name certificates such as organic or recycled content in the description where you hold them
  • Agree who on your team answers enquiries each evening of the fair

What buyers do after Texworld

Knowing the buyer’s next steps tells you when and how to follow up.

They order hangers and lab dips

Brands request hangers for the qualities they liked and lab dips for their own colours. Speed here matters.

They match the quality to a style

Designers test fabrics against specific garments. They return with questions on shrinkage, handle and finish.

They negotiate on MOQ

Smaller brands ask about lower minimums. A clear MOQ on each quality helps you answer without a long thread.

EXAMPLE DATA

Indigo Ford Mills: after Texworld

A sourcing manager from a Barcelona womenswear brand asked about five viscose crepes and two linen blends. Three days after the fair, the mill sends a collection with those seven qualities.

Each shows composition, 140 to 180 GSM, width, an MOQ of 800 metres per quality and lab dip timing. The brand asks for hangers of four qualities and lab dips in two colours.

  • Send within three working days, while the buyer still remembers your stand
  • Link to a collection of the products they asked about, not your whole catalog
  • State MOQ, lead time and price basis in the message
  • Offer samples or a video call as the next step

Texworld exhibitors ask

Can buyers filter by composition or weight?
Buyers browse your qualities and can ask the assistant for, say, cotton blends over 200 GSM. It answers from the composition and weight in your descriptions, so complete data gives better answers.
How do we quote custom colours?
When a buyer asks for a custom colour or lab dip, the booth marks it price on request and sends it to your inbox. You reply with a quote naming the MOQ and lead time.
Are we listed as a mill or a converter?
You describe your company in your own words on your booth profile. Say whether you weave, knit, dye or convert, and which processes you control, so buyers know what to expect.
What does a Digital Booth cost for Texworld exhibitors?
Exhibitors pay the same regular monthly price as every other company: Booth, Factory or Enterprise, shown in the pricing section above. You can preview your Digital Booth with five products before you pay anything.
What happens to the booth after Texworld closes?
Your Digital Booth stays live for as long as you subscribe. Buyers who kept your link can return to it when they plan orders, and you keep prices and products current between fairs.
What is a Texworld Paris digital booth?
A Texworld Paris digital booth is your fabric collection as a live link at yourmill.poly9.ai. Apparel buyers open it at your stand, tap colorways, read composition, weight and width, see the price you set, and send enquiries for the fabrics they want. It stays live after the show, so buyers who bookmarked your booth can come back later.
Can we show yardage pricing per yard or per meter?
Yes. Name the unit in each product, per yard or per metre, next to the price you enter. The booth shows prices in one website currency of your choice. Quotes you send can use each buyer’s currency, USD or EUR, with price breaks by quantity.
Do we need yardage pricing for every fabric before the show?
No. Enter yardage pricing for fabrics you are certain about; everything else shows price on request. Your booth never invents pricing. Buyers can still explore fabrics and send enquiries, and your sales desk receives each one with fabric specs and yardage attached.
How do fashion brands use the booth?
Fashion brands browse your fabric collection, pick colorways and send an enquiry with the yardage they need. Each colorway can be its own product with its own MOQ. Your quote carries the lead time and FOB terms, and they forward it to their design and sourcing teams.
Which Texworld exhibitors is this for?
Fabric mills, textile converters, and apparel fabric exporters with options: colorways, widths, weights, compositions. If buyers at your stand ask “does this cotton twill come in navy, 60-inch width, 500 yards, what is the lead time?”, a digital booth answers it. The textiles page has category-specific details.
