Who you meet at Heimtextil

Heimtextil draws home textile buyers, interior designers, hospitality specifiers, editors and importers. Many are looking for new designs, colours and qualities for the coming year.

Textile buyers think in designs, colourways and qualities. They want the composition, width, weight and MOQ in writing. Your booth gives them the specs on one link, and your quote confirms the MOQ.

Pre-fair checklist for Heimtextil

Work through this list in the weeks before you travel.

  • Load your full range three weeks before the fair and check every price, MOQ and lead time
  • Preview your Digital Booth with five products first, then add the rest
  • Print your booth QR code on stand graphics, price cards and visiting cards
  • Email your booth link to the buyers you plan to meet, with your hall and stand number
  • List composition, width and weight on every fabric, and name your certificates in its description
  • Load each colourway as an option, or as its own product when its MOQ differs
  • Note contract details such as flame-retardant ratings where they apply
  • Agree who on your team answers enquiries each evening of the fair

The same evening, add a note to each buyer: what they asked, what they need and when they place orders.

What buyers do after Heimtextil

Knowing the buyer’s next steps tells you when and how to follow up.

They request swatches

Buyers order swatches or hangers of the designs they liked. A quick, accurate swatch dispatch keeps you on the shortlist.

They build ranges

Retailers and brands assemble ranges over the following weeks. A quote with MOQs and price breaks by quantity helps them decide.

They check compliance

Contract and hospitality buyers ask for test reports and certificates. Send copies with your quote.

EXAMPLE DATA

Wrenfield Weaves, Panipat: after Heimtextil

A buyer from a Stockholm hotel group asked about four jacquard bedspreads and two cushion designs. On the Wednesday after the fair, the sales head sends a collection of those six items.

Each item shows composition, an MOQ of 300 pieces per design and a 60-day lead time, and the test report goes with the email. The buyer requests swatch hangers for three designs.

  • Send within three working days, while the buyer still remembers your stand
  • Link to a collection of the products they asked about, not your whole catalog
  • State MOQ, lead time and price basis in the message
  • Offer samples or a video call as the next step

Heimtextil exhibitors ask

Can we show each colourway separately?
Yes. Load colourways as options on each design, or as separate products in a family when a colourway needs its own MOQ. Buyers name the exact colourways they want in their enquiry, so your follow-up names the right ones.
How do we handle swatch requests?
Buyers ask for swatches from the booth and the request reaches your inbox with the designs and colours listed. You reply with dispatch details, and the conversation stays with that buyer’s record.
Do screen colours match the fabric?
Screens vary. Use your own daylight photos, marked as photos, and tell buyers in your notes that the physical swatch is the reference for colour approval.
What does a Digital Booth cost for Heimtextil exhibitors?
Exhibitors pay the same regular monthly price as every other company: Booth, Factory or Enterprise, shown in the pricing section above. You can preview your Digital Booth with five products before you pay anything.
What happens to the booth after Heimtextil closes?
Your Digital Booth stays live for as long as you subscribe. Buyers who kept your link can return to it when they plan orders, and you keep prices and products current between fairs.
What is a Heimtextil digital booth?
A Heimtextil digital booth is your fabric archive as a live site at yourmill.poly9.ai. A buyer scans the QR at your stand, taps colorways, reads width, repeat and GSM in each description, and sends an enquiry for the qualities they like. It stays live after 15 January, so a link saved in Frankfurt works in March.
How fast can a mill build one from a swatch book?
Forty qualities take a morning. Upload photos and your Excel sheet with the fabric records, jacquards and dobbies included, and your prices if you have them. Poly9 builds each product page, you check the colorways against the shade card, and the fair QR code goes on your stand. Start three weeks out for a lab-dip round.
Do we need every price before Heimtextil?
No. Set the per-yard and per-piece prices you are sure of, and anything unpriced shows price on request. Your AI never invents a price to fill a gap. Buyers still browse swatches and send enquiries, and each request reaches your sales desk with the colorway and yardage included.
Can buyers configure COM yardage on the floor?
Buyers pick the fabric and colorway on their phone and see your per-yard price. Cut yardage after repeat for their own frame goes to your inbox as price on request, with the memo sample noted. You quote it with the minimum applied, in one click from the enquiry.
Does it fit hotel programs and contract buyers?
A hotel program can be one collection: percale sheeting, terry towels and a bath mat in the hotel’s sizes, with MOQs shown or hidden as you choose. The contract buyer forwards the link, and the enquiry returns with every quality and size selected. Fire rating and composition come from your product descriptions.
Which Heimtextil exhibitors is this for?
Mills, converters and home-textile exporters with options: bedding, terry, table linen, rugs, drapery, sheers, blackout, decorative and contract fabrics, wallcovering. If a buyer at your stand wonders “does this come in the blue at 240 by 220?”, a digital booth has it. The textiles and fabric pages carry the mill-level specifics.
