Who you meet at Canton Fair

The Canton Fair draws importers, wholesalers, retailers and sourcing agents from around the world. Each phase covers different product groups, so buyers often plan their visit around one or two phases.

Buyers visit many stands in the same category and collect a large number of catalogues. After the fair they sort them quickly. A clear collection link with prices, MOQs and lead times survives that sorting.

Pre-fair checklist for Canton Fair

Work through this list in the weeks before you travel.

  • Load your full range three weeks before the fair and check every price, MOQ and lead time
  • Preview your Digital Booth with five products first, then add the rest
  • Print your booth QR code on stand graphics, price cards and visiting cards
  • Email your booth link to the buyers you plan to meet, with your hall and stand number
  • Load your range in English and check product names buyers search for
  • Set your website prices, and the FOB port your quotes will name
  • Add MOQ, carton data and lead time to every product
  • Agree who on your team answers enquiries each evening of the fair

At your Canton Fair stand

01

Point to the QR code

Buyers scan it and open your full range on their phone, in the browser, with no app to install.

02

Let them send enquiries

Buyers send enquiries while you talk to the next visitor. Each one arrives in your inbox with their email.

03

Note each conversation

The same evening, add a note to each buyer: what they asked, what they need and when they place orders.

What buyers do after Canton Fair

Knowing the buyer’s next steps tells you when and how to follow up.

They sort dozens of catalogues

Buyers return with many catalogues per category. Suppliers with clear, complete data make the first cut.

They ask several suppliers to quote

Buyers send the same request to a few suppliers. Fast, exact quotes win attention.

They visit factories or send agents

Some buyers arrange factory visits or ask an agent to inspect. A complete booth helps them prepare.

EXAMPLE DATA

Lantern Bay Lighting, Zhongshan: after the autumn phase

A Mexican importer asked about eight pendant lights and three wall lamps at the stand. Two days after the phase closed, the export manager sends a collection with those eleven items.

The collection shows prices and an MOQ of 100 per model, and the note gives a 40-day lead time. The importer asks for a quote on five models, which goes out FOB Shenzhen with total CBM.

  • Send within three working days, while the buyer still remembers your stand
  • Link to a collection of the products they asked about, not your whole catalog
  • State MOQ, lead time and price basis in the message
  • Offer samples or a video call as the next step

Canton Fair exhibitors ask

Can buyers outside China open the booth?
Your Digital Booth is a web page at your own poly9.ai address. Buyers open it in a normal browser from the QR code or link you share, wherever they are.
We exhibit in more than one phase. Do we need separate booths?
No. One Digital Booth covers every phase and every fair you attend. Add a note to each buyer about where you met so your follow-up stays specific.
Can we show prices in US dollars?
Yes. Your booth shows the prices you set in one website currency, such as US dollars. Quotes you send carry your FOB price, Incoterm and the port you ship from.
What does a Digital Booth cost for Canton Fair exhibitors?
Exhibitors pay the same regular monthly price as every other company: Booth, Factory or Enterprise, shown in the pricing section above. You can preview your Digital Booth with five products before you pay anything.
What happens to the booth after Canton Fair closes?
Your Digital Booth stays live for as long as you subscribe. Buyers who kept your link can return to it when they plan orders, and you keep prices and products current between fairs.
