Tile and stone showroom interior

Project quantities quoted with all trim pieces

A designer specifies tile for a bathroom. For a quote. You calculate field tile, then add bullnose, quarter-round, and corner pieces from the trim chart. Sourcebook calculates the complete quote from the layout.

Size and finish options

Every tile and slab in every available size and finish. Matte, polished, honed, textured: priced per square foot from each supplier.

Trim piece pricing

Bullnose, quarter-round, corners, liners: all trim pieces priced per linear foot. Calculated from layout square footage.

Stock vs special order

Stock availability and special-order lead times per size and finish. Designers see what ships now vs 8-week lead time.

How tile and stone showrooms use Sourcebook

Tile and stone showrooms manage inventory across ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, and engineered surfaces from multiple suppliers. Each project requires field tile in specific sizes and finishes plus matching trim pieces: bullnose, quarter-round, corners, liners. Sourcebook calculates complete project quotes including all trim pieces so designers get accurate pricing before installation begins.

Material specification search

Load tile and stone collections with material types, sizes, finishes, and technical specs. Designers search by DCOF slip rating, absorption rate, frost resistance, or color family. See matches across all suppliers with square foot pricing and availability for each size and finish combination.

Trim piece coordination

Load trim charts from each supplier showing available bullnose, quarter-round, corner pieces, and liners per tile line. Calculate trim quantities based on room dimensions and installation type. Pricing includes field tile and all matching trim pieces with per-linear-foot rates.

Natural stone slab management

Track natural stone slab inventory with lot numbers, vein patterns, and availability. Designers select specific slabs and place holds with expiration dates. Coordinate fabrication quotes with slab selection and track which slabs designers specified for each project before cutting begins.

Questions for tile & stone showrooms

How do you calculate trim pieces from square footage?
We load each supplier trim chart showing which trim pieces are needed per installation type: floor, wall, shower, backsplash. When a designer provides room dimensions and installation type, Sourcebook calculates field tile square footage and all required trim pieces with per-linear-foot pricing.
Can designers filter by slip rating or wet-area rating?
Yes. Designers search for DCOF 0.42 or higher for commercial floors, or wet-area rated tile for showers and pool surrounds. Sourcebook shows matches from every supplier with those slip and moisture ratings, priced per square foot with current availability.
What if a tile is out of stock?
Connected suppliers update stock status per SKU and finish. Your showroom sees stock vs special-order status when designers ask. Sourcebook shows lead times for special orders (typically 8-12 weeks) and suggests in-stock alternatives from the same supplier or similar products from other suppliers.
Do you handle natural stone slab holds?
Yes. When a designer selects a natural stone slab for countertops or feature walls, Sourcebook logs the hold with slab lot number, designer contact, project name, and hold expiration date. You see all active holds and can release expired holds or convert holds to orders with fabrication details.
Can we quote installation with material costs?
Load your installation rates per square foot for different tile types and installation methods: standard floor, large-format wall, herringbone pattern, hexagon mosaic. Designers see material costs plus installation labor. Separate quotes for residential and commercial installation rates.
How do we coordinate fabrication for stone countertops?
After slab selection, coordinate with fabricators for templating and cutting. Track fabrication timeline alongside slab hold status. Designers see complete countertop pricing: slab cost, fabrication, edge profiles, cutouts, and installation. Export fabrication specs with slab lot numbers.
