Questions about COM and grade pricing

What is COM (customer's own material)?
COM means a buyer provides their own fabric instead of choosing from your standard offerings. Your price covers the labor and frame, and the buyer sources the fabric separately. Some manufacturers charge a flat COM fee; others offer several COM price tiers based on fabric type or cost.
What is a grade matrix?
A grade matrix assigns fabrics to pricing tiers (Grade A, B, C and so on) based on cost, performance or supplier relationships. Each grade adds a different upcharge to the base furniture frame price. You publish one SKU with a price point per grade instead of a separate SKU for every fabric.
